Mahuya Bandyopadhyay

Mahuya Bandyopadhyay is Professor of Sociology at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, studying varied manifestations and experiences of the carceral mesh in contemporary urban society. Her latest book, Women, Incarcerated: Narratives from India, is a co-edited volume on the lives of women prisoners and draws on conversations between, academics, social work practitioners, activists and administrators.

Gopa Sabharwal

Gopa Sabharwal teaches Sociology at the Lady ShriRam College for Women, University of Delhi. In 2006, she was a Fulbright Scholar in Residence at Chatham College, Pittsburgh. From 2010 to 2016, she served as the founding Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University. Gopa’s books include Ethnicity and Class: Social Divisions in an Indian City; The Indian Millennium- A.D.1000 to A.D.2000 and India Since 1947: The Independent Years.

Savyasaachi

Savyasaachi was formerly Professor at the Dept of Sociology Jamia Millia Islamia. He has worked with Architects, has taught at NID, he is now associated with Building Beauty Sorrento. His recent book A Tryst with Nature: Labour, Self, and Language published by Orient Blackswan in 2024.
